Here in California, we have faced many emergencies and challenges in the past with fires and earthquakes. Are we prepared for fire season or for the next earthquake during this time of COVID-19?

Some reminders about emergency preparedness:

  • Prepare Now

  • Have a plan for your pets

  • Gather emergency supplies beforehand

-Cleaning supplies

-Non-perishable foods

-First-aid supplies


-Medications as needed

-Any pet needs

-Mask or cloth face covering

  • Gather chargers and extra batteries

  • Leave if told to do so

  • If you are trapped, call 911

  • Check your local air quality at

We are living through unprecedented times. Many of us are already feeling anxious or stressed as we live through this pandemic. The threat of a wildfire will only add to an already stressful situation. Be available to family, friends, or neighbors who may need someone to talk to.
